You will be contacted if further information, such as health examination(s), is required. The eVisa system will advise you of any health examination(s) required immediately after lodging your application. Disregard the eVisa system advice if you are applying for a second Working Holiday visa in Australia. If you are requested by an officer of the department to undertake health examination(s), you should do this within 28 days or advise the department of the details of your appointment.

The processing service standard is six days for first Working Holiday visas and 21 days for second Working Holiday visas, after all required information has been provided. Contacting the department to check on the progress of your application may delay processing.

You will be advised in writing when a decision has been made on your application.

Can I travel before I have been granted a visa?

No. You will be advised when a decision has been made on your visa application.

What do I do if my circumstances change after I lodge my application?

If your circumstances change or the information provided as part of your application is no longer correct, including a change of passport, you must inform the department as soon as possible. Failure to provide correct information can delay visa processing and your entry into Australia, and may result in your visa being refused or cancelled.

What do I need to know when communicating with the department?
Do I need a visa label in my passport if I am granted a visa?

No. You do not require a visa label in your passport to travel to Australia. Your visa will be linked electronically to the passport details provided in your visa application. You will be sent a visa grant notification which explains your visa conditions.

The Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) allows you, and your employer or education provider, to view your visa details online. You can access VEVO by visiting www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/vevo.htm using your Transaction Reference Number.
