The Australian Embassy and the Science in Melbourne 2007 Organising Committee will host a lunch-time briefing session for Korean media in Bizbaz, 2nd floor, COEX on 19 May 2006 at 12:30-14:00.
• Mr Niall Byrne and Ms Sarah Brooker will provide an introduction to the World Conference of Science Journalists and background on preparations for the 2007 Meeting to be held in Melbourne Australia. This will include information on how Korean journalists can participate in this exciting event.
• The briefing will also include background on a range of topical Australian science stories and discussion on some of the issues and challenges faced by science journalists.
The 5th World Conference of Science Journalists will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from 16 to 20 April 2007. Journalists from around the world will discuss the big issues facing science journalism. The official website for the 5th World Conference of Science Journalists is www.scienceinmelbourne2007.org
Korean journalists in the fields of science, technology and health/medical news are warmly invited to the briefing. The briefing will be held in English and Korean. Lunch and premium Australian wine will be served. Bookings are essential and should be received no later than Wednesday 17 May 2006.
