Business
If you are not eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority and you wish to visit for business purpose or attend a conference/seminar in Australia, you must lodge a Business (Short Stay) Visa application at the Australian Embassy Seoul.
Instructions for applying Business (Short Stay) Visa
If you intend to apply for a Business (Short Stay) Visa, you are kindly requested to assist the processing of your application by providing the documents listed below with your application.
In the absence of particular documents a decision on your application will be made based on the documents held at time of decision.
The documents you need:
- Valid passport (must have at least one blank page for visa label)
- Form 456, Application for a Business (Short Stay) visa
- If you are using an agent or authorised recipient, Form 956, Appointment of a migration agent or exempt agent or other authorised recipient
- Visa application charge
- Evidence of your proposed business in Australia (eg. Letter of invitation, conference registration details, employment contract, etc.)
- Evidence of your means of support for your proposed stay in Australia, eg bank account statements issued within 1 week prior to lodgement or savings books
- Evidence of employment / study. Self-employed applicants: evidence of active business and a registration certificate.
- Photocopy of the front and back of your Korean Alien Registration card (if applicable)
Note:
All documents must be certified copies of originals (ie certified by a notary public/Justice of the Peace). Any document provided in support of your application may be checked. If you are found to have supplied false/fraudulent supporting documents/declarations, your application may be refused. If for any reason you cannot supply any of the requested documents listed, please provide a detailed letter of explanation. If required, you may be requested to provide additional documents or attend an interview.
Processing Time:
Please apply as early as possible before your proposed travel date, as processing may take up to 2 weeks. Applicants are advised not to purchase airline tickets before their visa application is finalised.
