Korean National Police Clearance
Instructions for obtaining Police Clearance Certificates from the Republic of Korea (ROK)
Residents of Korea
- Apply by mail, advising your visa application file number or client number and the location of the office where your visa application is being processed, to the Visa Office of the Australian Embassy Seoul with the following documents:
- Korean citizens:
- Request for National Police Certificate (x2)
- Korean language cover sheet (x1)
- Identification Certificate (x1)
- Resident Register (x1)
- Non-citizens:
- Request for National Police Certificate (x1)
- Passport copy
- Korean citizens:
- Processing time is approximately 3 weeks. The National Police Certificate will be sent to the office where your visa application is being processed.
Non-residents of Korea
- Applicants must first attend a Korean Consulate or Embassy in order to have their application form stamped. (In Australia, there are offices in Canberra and Sydney). The form should then be sent to the KNPA by mail with a self addressed envelope and registration stamps or coupons-response international (CNO1) for sending back the result.
