2. To obtain a Korean driver's license, I need to get a certificate of my
Australian licence from the Australian Embassy. How do I do that?
If you have a current Australian driver's license and wish to obtain a Korean licence, you will need to bring your licence to the consular section of the Embassy to be certified. Please also bring your passport or ID card. The fee for this service is AUD $30, payable in Korean won.
3. How can I renew/replace my Australian driving licence?
If your Australian driver's license is lost, stolen or about to expire, contact the traffic authority of your home state in person or have someone contact them on your behalf. Apply for Certificate of No Impediment at the Australian Embassy. When this has been issue, take it to your local Gu officer to register your marriage.
5. How long can an Australian citizen with a Korean visa stay in Korea?
If you entered Korea on an Australian passport without a long stay visa you may remain for 90 days. This period cannot be extended without leaving the country and returning.
To stay longer than 90 days, you must obtain a long stay visa from the Korean Consulate in Sydney or the Korean Embassy in Canberra before you leave Australia.
