The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) is the official trade and investment facilitation agency of the Australian Government. Through its network of 105 offices in 58 countries, Austrade provides practical advice, market intelligence and ongoing support to Australian businesses looking to develop international markets for their products and services. Also comprehensive services are provided to the Korean companies who want to invest in Australia.
Austrade’s Seoul office, located within the Australian Embassy, is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified person to the following position.
Business Development Manager
Principal duties
• Identification and qualification of potential business opportunities in Korea for
Australian companies
• Market research and report production for Australian exporters to Korea
• Coordination of visit programs and promotional activities for Australian exporters
• Management and coordination of related information databases and online material including market updates
• Marketing to Korean companies on behalf of Australian companies
Selection Criteria
• Knowledge of global business issues & trends to better understand Australian/Korean companies’ requirements
• Fair level of understanding on the Korean market and business environment to undertake assigned industry-related tasks
• Experience in business/market development activities
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Korean
• Commercial acumen and ability to assess business opportunities
• Good organisation skills to handle multiple tasks within short time span
• Ability to meet deadlines and performance targets in a team structure
• Understanding of Australian industry capability and business environment would be an advantage
• Experience of studying and/or working in Australia would be an advantage.
Salary and conditions
The successful applicant will be offered an attractive annual salary package within the range of KRW 29,200,000 to 34,000,000 and flexible working conditions with opportunities for training and self-development.
